PLC AND TYPES...


PLC( Programmable logic controller )-

 PLC is a full form programmable logic controller. It is an industrial digital computer which is used to control robotics devices, process lines, production lines etc.
PLC was first formed in 1968 by some people of Bedford Associates on General Motors demand. It was named Modicon Model Number-084 which was 84 projects of Bedford Associates. Modican is a full form  modular digital controller. Modicon credit goes to Dick Morley, also known as Father of PLC. Earlier PLCs were very large in size, then over time improvement was made and their size became small and reliable and functions also developed.
Alan Bradley, Delta, Mitsubishi, Siemens, etc. The company's PLC is readily available in the market.

 (पीएलसी का फुल फॉर्म है प्रोग्रामेबल लॉजिक कन्ट्रोलर। यह एक इंडस्ट्रियल डिजिटल कंप्यूटर है जिसका उपयोग  रोबोटिक्स डिवाइस ,प्रोसेस लाइन ,प्रोडक्शन लाइन आदि को कण्ट्रोल करने के लिए किया जाता है।
सबसे पहले पीएलसी 1968 में जनरल मोटर्स की डिमांड पर बेडफ़ोर्ड अस्सोसिएट्स के कुछ लोगो ने इसे मिलकर बनाया था। जिसका नाम था Modicon  मॉडल नंबर -084 जो की बेडफ़ोर्ड अस्सोसिएट्स का 84 प्रोजेक्ट था। Modican का फुल  फार्म है मॉडुलर डिजिटल कंट्रोलर। Modicon  का  क्रेडिट डिक मोर्ले को जाता है  जिन्हे  फादर ऑफ़  पीएलसी भी कहा जाता है। पहले पीएलसी साइज में बहुत बड़े  होते थे फिर समय के साथ साथ  इम्प्रूवमेंट हुआ और इनका साइज छोटा और रिलाएबल  हो गया और फंक्शन भी डेवलप हो गए।

 Types of PLC- 

these are two major types 

1) Fixed/Integrated/Compact PLC

2) Modular PLC

Fixed/Compact PLC- 

This type of PLC consists of power supply, input / output card, CPU in a single unit. In compact PLC we cannot remove or add any part, these are fixed.They are also called Integrated PLCs. It is cheaper than modular PLC and it takes less space to install and  They are also difficult to repair.

(इस टाइप की पीएलसी में पावर सप्लाई ,इनपुट/आउटपुट कार्ड ,सीपीउ एक ही यूनिट में होते है। कॉम्पैक्ट पीएलसी में हम किसी भी पार्ट को हटा या जोड़ नहीं सकते  ये फिक्स्ड होते है।इन्हे इंटीग्रेटेड पीएलसी भी कहते है। यह  सस्ते होते है मॉडुलर पीएलसी से और ये काम स्पेस लेते है इनस्टॉल होने में और इनको रिपेयर करना  भी मुश्किल होता है )

Modular PLC-


This type of PLC consists of power supply, input / output card, CPU in different units. In this type of PLC we can add and remove input / output cards as per the requirement. They are costlier than compact PLCs and also take up more space according to the number of inputs / outputs. We are also known as Rack PLC. They are easy to repair. They are used for large projects.

(इस टाइप की पीएलसी में पावर सप्लाई ,इनपुट/आउटपुट कार्ड ,सीपीउ अलग अलग यूनिट में होते है। इस टाइप की पीएलसी में हम आवश्यकता के अनुसार इनपुट /आउटपुट कार्ड को जोड़ सकते है और हटा भी सकते है। ये कॉम्पैक्ट पीएलसी से मँहगे होते है और ये इनपुट /आउटपुट  की संख्या के हिसाब से जगह भी ज्यादा लेते  है। इन्हे हम रैक पीएलसी भी  कहते है। इनको रिपेयर करना आसान होता है। ये बड़े प्रोजेक्ट के लिए उपयोग किये जाते है।)
