Aerator

It is used in the water Treatment process for various reasons:-

`1.) Aeration of ground water is the process of transferring oxygen into the water supply.

2.) To remove the unwanted gases from the water by replacing them with oxygen.

3.) Increase Oxygen concentration in water. Remove CO2 there by reducing corrosive property.

4.) Remove taste and odour that are caused by dissolved gases such as H2S (Hydrogen Sluphide) and CH4 (Methane) which are removed during aeration.

5.) Aeration brings water and air in close contact in order to remove dissolved gases (such as carbon dioxide) and oxidizes dissolved metals such as iron, hydrogen sulfide, and volatile organic chemicals (VOCs). Aeration is often the first major process at the treatment plant.

6.) Co2 reduce pH of water which cause consumption of live or other neutralizing agent in coagulation and softing process The process of cascade aeration is based mainly on gravity and the aeration of this
type have more efficiency due high surface for contact with atmosphere.
